This is one of the units that is covered in the BTEC course.
In this unit learners will learn about data transmittion in networks. They main areas of this will be signaling systems and digital transmitions. Another section of this is diffrent pysical and wireless ways of transmittion. This unit will also cover electronic devices such as communication pathways (network interface cards, modems and
ADSL connections).Later on in the unit learners will also look at diffrent network cables and have a go at making the cables and setting up a network. LAN and WAN and other transmition types will be used such as laser and infared.
